David Beckham Biography: David Beckham was born on 2 may 1975 in Leytonstone, London, England to David Edward Alan “Ted” Beckham, who was a kitchen fitter and Manchester untied Fan, and Sandra Georgina West, who was a hair dresser. His birth name is David Robert Joseph Beckham and he regularly played football in Ridgeway Park of Chingford.

 

As a child he attended the Chase Lane Primary School and Chingford Foundation School, and played football even as a child. His main sporting passion was always football. As a child he attended Bobby Charlton’s football schools in Manchester, when he accompanied his parents who frequently visited in fact fanatically visited Manchester because of their interest in Manchester united supporters program and to attend the Manchester United home matches. Their 4 months old son Brooklyn Joseph was the ring bearer of the wedding ceremony and the media was totally kept away from the ceremony as the couple had an exclusive deal with OK Magazine. The wedding ceremony was estimated to have cost around £500,000. The couple featured in special photographs in which they were shown on sitting in golden thrones.

Apart from being a famous sports athlete, David Beckham has been named officer in the order of the British Empire by Queen Elizabeth in 2003, and was named as Goodwill Ambassador for UNICEF, and been voted as Britain’s Greatest Ambassador at the Greatest Briton’s 2007 awards. In April 2007, the family which was nicknamed as “Posh and Becks” have moved to their new Italian villa in Beverly Hills, California and the mansion is nicknames as Beckhingham’s palace, as the couple was constantly followed by paparazzi and the media group.
