Beckham’s new style king plans Spears makeover

Posh Spice Victoria Beckham’s new favourite designer has his sights on a makeover for Britney Spears.

Beckham fell in love with 21-year-old Christian Siriano when she was among the panel who voted him the winner of America’s most recent Project Runway reality TV series.

The pop star told the wannabe designer she would wear anything he created for her, and she lived up to her word when she recently invited Siriano to her Beverly Hills home for a fitting.

And after styling Posh, the young fashionista now has plans for Spears.

He says, “I could save her. She needs me all day… Hair in the morning and make-up… and how about, like, cool. sexy, A-line, sophisticated type dress. Not fishnet stockings, like, torn up.”

Eva Longoria: Beckham Jeans Are Reason for Bump

Eva Longoria says that wearing Victoria Beckham jeans has caused rumors that she is pregnant. The actress, who has been victim to such rumors since she married Tony Parker, says that the Spice Girl gave her several pairs of jeans from her line ‘dVb.’ Longoria explains that the pants are so tight, they make her gut hang over. “Victoria gave me a couple of pairs (of jeans) and I love them. They were so tight, my gut was hanging over the top before dinner,” Longoria said. “Then, we came out of the restaurant and I was totally bloated. And now, apparently I have a baby bump!”

Beckham’s Galaxy lose 4-0 in MLS season opener

Beckham MLS update: Ruud Gullit, David Beckham and their Los Angeles Galaxy crashed to 4-0 defeat to Colorado in Saturday’s Major League Soccer season opener.

The glamor team’s new season under Dutch soccer legend Gullit started poorly despite Beckham racing back from midweek England duty to take on the Rapids.

“It’s always going to be tough when you have international games,” Beckham said. “I felt OK for most of the match, maybe not at my sharpest, but it was overall a tough game for us. We created chances, but didn’t put them away.”

It was not Beckham, but a lesser known former Manchester United winger Terry Cooke who opened the scoring in the 10th minute for Colorado.

Christian Gomez doubled the lead with a 60th minute penalty, Jamaican forward Omar Cummings made it 3-0 in the 67th minute and Colin Clark completed the scoring in the 80th.

Things got testy toward the end of the game. In the 90th minute, Galaxy’s Portugese international defender Abel Xavier — who was yellow carded for the foul that led to Colorado’s penalty — was sent off for a rough tackle on Ciaran O’Brien, who in turn was sent off soon afterward for his own hard tackle on Carlos Ruiz.

“I’m finding it hard not to criticize some of the decisions tonight but I’ve just been told I’ll be fined if I do,” Beckham said. “I don’t want that to happen. Referees have a tough job, but some decisions change games, and that’s happened tonight.”

The Galaxy said the altitude played a part in their sluggish play, and that Gomez’s goal deflated them.

“The turning point was the penalty kick,” Gullit said. “That caused a little bit of chaos in our organization, and we lost our head a little bit.”

Former D.C. United midfielder Gomez, who had also played mostly with Nueva Chicago and Independiente in his native Argentina, was a constant thorn in the side of Los Angeles.

“He draws a lot of attention from defenders,” Clark said. “They are always worried about him. It makes it a little easier for everyone else.”

I'm kinda excited about what's happening in the world of US Soccer, LA Galaxy is my US team and I'm glad they got Beckham, what are your thoughts, good or bad? Just some feedback.

GOOD. I don't support LA, but I think this will be a great opp to make the MLS known. Hopefully by bringing Becks over, he'll spark some new interest and get people playing attention to the sport. I really want people to realize how great the sport actually is. A lot of people may have never even see a professional match before and only say they don't like it because it's so cliche to do that. It's really great, and hopefully some people will realize that.
